Message from the President
We envision a society where women and youth can realise their full potential and lead with confidence, dignity and purpose. From the very beginning, our mission has been rooted in equality, justice and sustainable development for those who are often left behind.

WAYDO has become a place where women and young people come together to learn, lead and lift their communities. I am proud of our team and volunteers, who work tirelessly in every corner of our working areas.

To our partners, donors and well-wishers: your trust strengthens our resolve. Together we are turning challenges into opportunities.

Hakimun Nesha Bappy is an apprentice lawyer, women's rights worker and literary and humanitarian activist from Cox's Bazar. She has worked on the front line of humanitarian response for more than six years, on gender-based violence prevention, child protection and mental health. In 2025 she was named one of seven finalists for the WIN DRR Rising Star Award, organised by the UNDRR Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific.

Message from our founder

At WAYDO we believe in the transformative power of compassion, leadership and collective action. Since our founding we have had one simple vision: women and young people as active changemakers in a just, inclusive and resilient society.

We do not just deliver programmes. We nurture hope, amplify voices and build the capacity of communities to lead their own transformation. The people we serve are not just beneficiaries; they are co-creators of change.

My heartfelt thanks go to our partners, supporters and well-wishers who believe in this mission.

Jobair Mahmud is a humanitarian and development professional from Cox's Bazar with more than eight years of experience in humanitarian assistance, climate resilience, youth empowerment, gender equality and inclusive education. He brought together the 35 young women who founded WAYDO in 2022. His work has been recognised with the Policy Action Award, the Green Climate Leadership Award and the TekSHOI Humanitarian Leadership Award.
